Terms & Conditions

Last Updated on April 25th, 2026

OVERVIEW

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Coastal Tints website and the purchase of window tinting services from Coastal Tints, a locally owned and operated business based in Meadow Springs, Western Australia. By requesting a quote, confirming a booking, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Coastal Tints carries out all installations in accordance with Window Film Association of Australia and New Zealand (WFAANZ) industry standards and guidelines. This includes adherence to the WFAANZ Visual Quality Standards for architectural window film, which set the accepted benchmarks for installation quality across the industry.

1. SERVICES

Coastal Tints provides residential, commercial, and marine window film installation services across Mandurah, the Peel Region, and Perth Metro. All services are carried out by our qualified installer. We reserve the right to decline any job at our discretion.

2. QUOTES AND PRICING

All pricing displayed on our website is a guide only. Final pricing is confirmed in a written quote following an inspection of your property. Quoted prices are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. We reserve the right to amend a quote if site conditions differ materially from what was described at time of quoting. Additional charges may apply for non-standard glass, difficult or elevated access, existing film removal, or other site-specific conditions identified at the time of installation.

Quotes are issued through our GoHighLevel platform. The quote will outline the scope of work, film selection, and agreed pricing. Please review your quote carefully before approving it.

3. BOOKINGS, DEPOSITS, AND SPECIAL ORDER FILMS

A deposit is required to confirm and secure your installation booking. The deposit amount will be advised at the time of booking. The remaining balance is payable on completion of the installation. We accept cash, card, Paypal and bank transfers. By paying your deposit you confirm your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Your deposit does more than hold a date. It sets your job in motion. From the moment it is received, your film is sourced and ordered, your installation date is reserved exclusively for you, and our time and equipment are allocated to your project. Because real costs are committed on your behalf from that point, deposits are non-refundable. It is our way of making sure every job we take on gets the full preparation and attention it deserves.

Special Order Films. Some film products are not held in our regular stock and must be ordered specifically for your job. Where your chosen film is a special order product, this will be confirmed at the time of quoting. Special order films are ordered immediately upon receipt of your deposit and typically take up to 10 working days to arrive. Your installation date will be scheduled once the film has been confirmed as received. Please factor this lead time into your planning.

Once you have reviewed and approved your quote, we will send you a secure payment link to collect your deposit. Payment of the deposit via that link serves as your formal confirmation of the booking and your agreement to proceed with the installation as quoted. Your installation date will be locked in once the deposit payment is confirmed.

Deposit payments are processed securely through Stripe via our GoHighLevel platform. You will receive a payment confirmation once your deposit has been received.

Repeated Rescheduling. We understand that circumstances can change and we are happy to accommodate one rescheduling request at no charge, provided at least 48 hours notice is given. However, if you reschedule your installation date more than twice after the booking has been confirmed, your deposit will be forfeited. This is because repeated rescheduling results in ongoing costs for us — film has been ordered, time has been allocated, and other jobs have been turned away to hold your date. We appreciate your understanding.

4. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING

If you need to reschedule, simply let us know at least 48 hours before your installation date and we will find a new time that works for you at no extra charge (subject to the repeated rescheduling policy in Clause 3 above).

If a cancellation is made with less than 48 hours notice, the deposit will not be refunded. This is because by that point your film has already been ordered and your installation slot has been fully prepared for. The deposit exists to cover those real costs committed on your behalf — not to penalise you.

We also reserve the right to reschedule in the event of a force majeure event, including but not limited to: extreme weather events or natural disasters, illness or injury of our installer, a family or personal emergency affecting our installer, supply chain disruption affecting film availability, government-mandated restrictions or lockdowns, or any other event that makes performance of the installation impossible or unsafe. In any such case, your booking will be moved to the next available date at no cost to you and your deposit remains fully intact.

5. THIRD-PARTY APPROVALS — TENANTS, STRATA, AND LANDLORDS

By confirming a booking with Coastal Tints, the client warrants that they have obtained all necessary approvals from any relevant third party prior to the installation date. This includes, but is not limited to, written consent from the landlord or lessor where the client is a tenant, and written approval from the relevant body corporate or strata management company where the property is a strata-titled lot.

Window film is classified as a modification to the property under the Residential Tenancies Act 1987 (WA) and may require approval under strata by-laws. It is the client's sole responsibility to obtain and retain evidence of any required approvals before installation commences. Coastal Tints does not accept any liability for the cost of film removal, property restoration, or any other costs arising from the client's failure to obtain the necessary approvals prior to the installation.

6. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES BEFORE INSTALLATION

To allow our installer to work safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard, the client is responsible for ensuring the following is completed before our installer arrives on the installation date:

• Furniture and large items must be moved a minimum of 1.2 metres away from all windows to be tinted. This includes sofas, tables, shelving units, televisions, appliances, and any other items that would obstruct access to the glass or the area immediately around it.

• All curtains and blinds must be removed from the windows to be tinted prior to our arrival. This includes curtains on tracks or rods, roller blinds, venetian blinds, roman blinds, and any other window coverings. Where curtains or blinds are on fixed tracks that cannot easily be removed, please advise us at the time of booking so we can discuss the best approach.

• Flyscreens should be removed from windows to be tinted where possible and stored safely out of the installation area.

• Pets must be secured away from the installation area for the duration of the installation.

• Windows should be reasonably clean and accessible on the day. Our installer will clean the glass before installation, but excessive dirt, pet hair, paint, or adhesive residue on the glass may require additional preparation time.

If the installation area is not prepared and ready on arrival, our installer will do their best to work around the situation. However, please be aware that unprepared access will extend the time required to complete the job and may affect the quality of the finished result. Where our installer is required to move furniture or assist with the removal of curtains or blinds on the day, this is done as a courtesy only and entirely at the client's risk.

Coastal Tints does not accept any liability for damage to furniture, furnishings, curtains, blinds, tracks, fittings, or any other items that occur in the course of moving or handling them to gain access to the windows. If the installation cannot be completed on the day due to the area not being prepared, a rescheduling fee may apply.

6. WARRANTY

Warranty coverage varies depending on the type and location of the installation, as set out below:

Residential interior flat glass installations are covered by a lifetime warranty. For the purposes of this warranty, "lifetime" means for as long as the original client who commissioned the installation occupies the property at the time of installation.

Residential exterior flat glass installations are covered by a 7-year warranty from the date of installation.

Commercial interior installations are covered by a 12-year warranty from the date of installation.

Commercial exterior installations are covered by a 7-year warranty from the date of installation.

Marine installations vary in warranty coverage depending on the vessel and the film type used. Marine jobs often require a combination of residential and automotive grade films selected based on the vessel type, glass configuration, and exposure conditions. The exact warranty period for marine installations will be confirmed in writing at the time of installation.

All warranties under this policy are non-transferable and do not pass to subsequent owners or occupants of the property.

All warranty work is carried out in partnership with our film suppliers. This means every installation is backed by two layers of protection — the film manufacturer's product warranty covering the film itself, and our own workmanship guarantee covering the installation. If a warranty claim is approved, the replacement film is covered by the supplier and the remedial installation is carried out by us at no charge to you.

The warranty covers defects in the film including bubbling, peeling, discolouration, and film failure under normal use and care. It does not apply to damage caused by misuse, improper cleaning, physical damage, or interference by any third party after installation. The warranty is held by the original owner only and is non-transferable. Any warranty claim must be submitted to Coastal Tints directly. We will assess the claim and liaise with the film supplier on your behalf. Remedial work will only proceed following assessment and approval.

Warranty coverage is subject to the film being maintained in accordance with the care instructions provided at the time of installation.

For full details on what is and is not covered, eligibility, and how to make a claim, please refer to the Warranty Policy section below.

7. INSTALLATION STANDARDS, GLASS CONDITIONS, AND FILM REMOVAL

Edge Gaps. A small gap between the edge of the window film and the window frame or rubber seal is a normal and expected part of a professional installation. Industry standards set by the WFAANZ and the International Window Film Association (IWFA) recognise an edge gap of 1mm to 4mm as acceptable practice. This gap is intentional — it allows the mounting solution to be fully cleared from beneath the film during installation and ensures the film edges cure down flat and do not lift or peel from contact with the frame. The gap typically becomes less noticeable once the film has fully cured. This is not a defect and does not affect the performance or longevity of the film.

Rubber Seals and Gaskets. In some installations, it may be necessary to partially move or trim a rubber seal or gasket around the window frame to achieve a clean, precise edge and the best possible finish. This is standard industry practice and is done with care. Where a rubber seal is trimmed or adjusted, this will be communicated to you at the time of installation. Coastal Tints takes all reasonable care when working around seals and frames, however we are not liable for pre-existing seal degradation or any seal condition that was not identified prior to the installation commencing.

Pre-Existing Glass Conditions. Window film is applied directly to the surface of the glass and will conform to the condition of that glass. Any pre-existing scratches, marks, chips, or imperfections in the glass surface may become more visible once film is applied, as the film can highlight surface irregularities that were previously less noticeable. Coastal Tints will conduct a visual inspection of the glass prior to installation and will advise you of any conditions that may affect the appearance of the finished result. However, we are not responsible for the visibility of pre-existing glass defects once the film has been installed. These are not considered warranty defects.

Pets. We love animals, but pet hair — particularly from cats and dogs — can present a challenge during film installation. Hair and dander can become trapped between the film and the glass during the installation process, which may affect the final appearance. Our installer will take every reasonable measure to minimise this, including cleaning the glass thoroughly before installation. However, in homes with pets, we cannot guarantee a completely hair-free result. This is not considered a defect in the installation. If you have pets, we recommend keeping them out of the installation area on the day and giving the windows a thorough clean beforehand to help us achieve the best possible result.

Glass Edge Cracking Important Disclaimer. In some cases, glass may crack following the application of window film. While window film itself does not cause glass to crack, the application of film can, in certain circumstances, reveal or accelerate a pre-existing structural weakness in the glass that was not visible prior to installation.

One of the most common causes of this is scalloping — a condition where the edge of the glass has been cut or scored unevenly during the original glazing process, leaving small notches, chips, or irregular serrations along the cut edge of the glass. These edge imperfections create stress concentration points within the glass. When window film is applied, it introduces a small but measurable change in the thermal and mechanical load on the glass. In combination with an already-compromised edge, this change can be sufficient to initiate a crack that runs inward from the edge into the body of the glass.

This type of cracking is a characteristic of the glass itself, not a defect in the film or the installation. It is caused by pre-existing edge damage that is typically concealed within the window frame or rubber seal and cannot be detected during a standard visual inspection of the glass surface. Coastal Tints carries out a thorough pre-installation inspection of all accessible glass surfaces, however we are not able to inspect the concealed edges of glass that are set within frames, seals, or glazing channels.

Coastal Tints does not accept liability for glass cracking that occurs as a result of pre-existing edge defects, scalloping, or any other structural condition within the glass that was not visible and could not reasonably have been identified at the time of installation. We are not responsible for the cost of glass replacement in these circumstances. However, if the glass needs to be replaced as a result of such cracking, Coastal Tints will supply and install the replacement window film on the new glass at no charge once the glass has been replaced by a glazier.

If you have any concerns about the condition or age of your glazing prior to installation, we recommend having your glass inspected by a qualified glazier before proceeding.

Building Code Compliance. All window film installations are carried out in compliance with AS 1288:2021 (Glass in Buildings — Selection and Installation) and AS 2208:2023 (Safety Glazing Materials in Buildings) where applicable, and in accordance with WFAANZ industry installation standards. It is the client's responsibility to disclose any existing non-standard, heritage-listed, or structurally compromised glazing prior to installation. Coastal Tints is not responsible for pre-existing non-compliance in the client's glazing. For commercial installations, it is the client's responsibility to confirm any fire rating, energy efficiency, or building code requirements with their building manager or certifier prior to selecting a film product.

Film Removal. Yes — window film can be removed if needed. Common reasons include changing to a different product, vacating a rental property, or replacing aged film that has reached the end of its life. If you already have tinting on your windows and want to upgrade, we can take care of the removal first and then install the new film, all in one visit.

Film removal is a labour-intensive process and the cost varies depending on the number of windows, the age of the existing film, and the type of glass. Please contact us for a realistic assessment of what is involved.

We take all possible care when removing existing film, however film removal requires physical pressure and scraping to strip the film and adhesive from the glass surface. Some windows — particularly older, thinner, or structurally compromised glass — are not designed to withstand this level of pressure. As a result, there is a risk of glass breakage during the removal process that is beyond our control. Coastal Tints is not liable for glass breakage that occurs during film removal where the breakage is attributable to the age, thickness, condition, or structural integrity of the glass. We recommend having older or thin glazing assessed by a qualified glazier before proceeding with film removal. If you have any concerns about the condition of your glass, please raise them with us before the removal date so we can discuss the best approach.

Toughened Glass. Toughened (tempered) glass has a rougher surface texture than standard float glass. When removing film from toughened glass, there is a risk of minor surface scratching due to the nature of the glass surface itself. If you have toughened glass and have not advised us of this prior to the removal, Coastal Tints is not liable for any scratching that occurs to the glass surface during the removal process. We are not responsible for replacing glass in these circumstances. Please advise us at the time of booking if your windows are toughened glass so we can discuss the appropriate approach.

Low-E Glass. Low-emissivity (Low-E) glass has a special metallic coating on the glass surface that can be damaged during film removal. If we are not advised that the glass is Low-E prior to removal, Coastal Tints is not liable for any damage to the Low-E coating that occurs during the removal process. Where the Low-E coating is damaged, we are able to apply a specialist product to the glass to restore its performance at an additional cost. Please advise us at the time of booking if your windows are Low-E glass.

8. MARINE INSTALLATIONS

Marine window film installations are subject to the regulations of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) under the Uniform Shipping Laws Code. Tinting of navigational space windows is subject to strict restrictions, including minimum visibility requirements at the helm position and compliance with the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea (COLREGS).

It is the client's sole responsibility to confirm the classification of their vessel, the applicable AMSA regulations, and whether the proposed installation is compliant before proceeding. Coastal Tints will advise on film VLT (Visible Light Transmittance) options but does not accept responsibility for regulatory non-compliance arising from the client's failure to verify their vessel's requirements.

Please note that navigational space windows on vessels of 45 metres or more constructed after July 1998 cannot be tinted under any circumstances in accordance with SOLAS Chapter V, Regulation 22, as referenced in AMSA Circular 05-01.

9. PERFORMANCE DISCLAIMER

Heat reduction, UV blocking, glare reduction, and energy saving figures referenced on our website and in our marketing materials are based on manufacturer film specifications and real-world performance data. Individual results may vary depending on glass type, property orientation, building construction, existing glazing, and environmental conditions. These figures are not a guarantee of specific outcomes for your property.

10. WEBSITE USE

The content on our website is provided for general information purposes only. We make every effort to keep information accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant the completeness or accuracy of any content on the site. We reserve the right to update, change, or remove any content at any time without notice. Our website may contain links to third-party websites. • Due care and skill: Services will be carried out with the level of care and skill that a competent professional installer in the industry would exercise.

• Fit for a particular purpose: Where you have told us the specific purpose for which you require the service (for example, heat reduction, privacy, or UV protection), the service will be reasonably fit for that purpose.

• Provided within a reasonable time: Where no time has been agreed, services will be completed within a timeframe that is objectively reasonable.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes, or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be limited, excluded, or modified by agreement.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, Coastal Tints limits its liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of our services to the cost of re-performing the relevant service. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your use of our website or services.

14. COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Complaints must be raised within the applicable warranty period for your installation type. We are not able to accept or act on complaints raised outside of the warranty period as the condition of the film, the glass, and the installation environment can change significantly over time, making it impossible to fairly assess the cause of any issue after that point.

If a complaint or dispute arises in connection with these Terms and Conditions or any installation carried out by Coastal Tints, both parties agree to attempt resolution by written notice and good-faith negotiation within 14 days of the dispute being raised in writing. If the dispute remains unresolved after 14 days, either party may refer the matter to Consumer Protection WA or seek independent mediation. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or declaratory relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.

15. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.

Warranty Policy

Last Updated on April 25th, 2026

SCOPE OF WARRANTY

Coastal Tints stands behind every installation with a clear warranty policy covering defects in both materials and workmanship. Every job we carry out is installed under the warranty program of our film suppliers, meaning your warranty is backed by both the film manufacturer and Coastal Tints as your installer. You deal with us directly — we handle everything with the supplier on your behalf.

All installations are carried out in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the Window Film Association of Australia and New Zealand (WFAANZ), ensuring your installation meets recognised industry benchmarks for quality and performance.

Warranty coverage is as follows:

The exact warranty period for each marine installation will be confirmed in writing at the time of installation.

All warranties are non-transferable and do not pass to subsequent owners or occupants of the property.

WHAT IS COVERED

The warranty covers film defects including bubbling, peeling, discolouration, and adhesive failure under normal conditions of use and care.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

The warranty does not cover the following:

• Damage resulting from improper cleaning or use of harsh chemicals, abrasive cloths, or cleaning products containing ammonia or solvents.

• Physical scratching or damage to the film caused after installation.

• Damage caused by third-party interference, modification, or attempted removal of the film.

• Pre-existing scratches, chips, or surface imperfections in the glass itself — window film conforms to the surface it is applied to, and any scratches or marks already present in the glass may become more visible once the film is installed; this is a characteristic of the glass, not a defect in the film.

• Edge gaps between the film and the window frame or rubber seal — a small gap of 1mm to 4mm at the film edge is a normal and expected outcome of a professional installation in line with WFAANZ and IWFA industry standards and is not a defect.

• Any adjustments made to rubber seals or gaskets during installation that were communicated to the client at the time of the job.

• Film applied to glass with pre-existing defects or structural conditions that were not identified or disclosed prior to installation.

• Damage to blinds, curtains, tracks, rods, fittings, furniture, or any other items in the installation area. This warranty covers the window film and the glass it is applied to only. Any damage to blinds, curtains, or furniture — whether occurring during the installation process or as a result of items not being cleared from the installation area prior to our arrival — is not covered under this warranty and is not the responsibility of Coastal Tints. As outlined in the Terms and Conditions, it is the client's responsibility to ensure all blinds, curtains, and furniture are removed or cleared from the installation area before our installer arrives. Where our installer assists with moving items as a courtesy, this is done entirely at the client's risk.

Film Care Instruction. To maintain your warranty coverage, window film must be cleaned using a soft damp microfibre cloth with a small amount of mild dish soap and water only. Do not use cleaning products containing ammonia, solvents, or abrasive agents. Products such as Windex and similar household glass cleaners are not suitable and will degrade the film over time. Do not use paper towels, abrasive cloths, or sharp tools on the film surface. Allow newly installed film to fully cure before cleaning — this typically takes 2 to 4 weeks depending on sun exposure and weather conditions.

Glass Edge Cracking. Cracking of the glass following installation is not covered under this warranty where the cracking is attributable to a pre-existing structural weakness or edge defect in the glass, including but not limited to scalloping, chipping, or irregular scoring of the glass edge that occurred during the original glazing process. As explained in the Terms and Conditions, this type of cracking originates from within the glass itself and is not caused by the film or its application. Coastal Tints is not liable for the cost of glass replacement in these circumstances. However, once the glass has been replaced by a glazier, Coastal Tints will supply and install the replacement window film on the new glass at no charge.

Film Removal — Glass Breakage. Film removal requires physical pressure and scraping to strip the film and adhesive from the glass surface. We take all possible care during this process, however some windows — particularly older, thinner, or structurally compromised glass — are not designed to withstand the pressure required to remove film. Glass breakage that occurs during the removal process as a result of the age, thickness, condition, or structural integrity of the glass is not covered under this warranty and Coastal Tints is not liable for the cost of glass replacement in these circumstances. We recommend raising any concerns about your glass condition with us prior to the removal date.

Film Removal — Toughened and Low-E Glass. Where film removal is carried out on toughened (tempered) glass or Low-E glass and the client has not advised us of the glass type prior to the removal, Coastal Tints is not liable for any surface scratching or coating damage that occurs during the removal process. These are not warranty matters and are not covered under this policy. Where Low-E coating is damaged during removal, a specialist restoration product can be applied at an additional cost.

FILM CARE AND POST-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

To maintain your warranty coverage and get the best long-term performance from your window film, please follow the instructions below. Failure to follow these instructions may void your warranty coverage.

Curing Period. Newly installed window film requires a curing period of approximately 2 to 4 weeks to fully bond to the glass surface. The exact curing time will vary depending on the film type, the amount of direct sun exposure the windows receive, and the weather conditions at the time of installation. During this period you may notice small water pockets, slight haziness, or a milky appearance in the film. This is completely normal and is part of the curing process. These will clear on their own as the film dries and bonds to the glass. Do not be concerned and do not attempt to wipe, press, or smooth them out — leave the film undisturbed and they will disappear.

Do Not Clean During the Curing Period. Do not clean your windows for a minimum of 4 weeks following installation. Cleaning the film before it has fully cured can disturb the adhesive bond, cause the film to lift at the edges, or leave marks in the film surface that cannot be corrected. Once the curing period has passed, follow the cleaning instructions below.

Cleaning Instructions. Once the curing period is complete, clean your window film using a soft damp microfibre cloth with a small amount of mild dish soap and water only. Wipe gently and avoid applying heavy pressure. Do not use cleaning products containing ammonia or harsh solvents — products such as Windex and similar household glass cleaners will degrade the film over time and will void your warranty. Do not use paper towels, abrasive cloths, steel wool, or any sharp or hard tools on the film surface. These will scratch the film coating and the damage cannot be repaired.

Do Not Peel or Pick at Edges. If you notice a small edge gap, a slight lift at a corner, or any area of the film that appears to not be fully adhered, do not attempt to press it down, peel it back, or fix it yourself. Contact us directly and we will assess it. Attempting to self-repair the film may cause further damage and will void your warranty on the affected area.

Window Operation. For any operable windows — windows that open and close — avoid operating them forcefully or slamming them in the first week following installation while the film edges are still settling and curing. Once the film has fully cured, windows can be operated normally.

Blinds and Curtains. During the curing period, avoid trapping heat between the film and closed blinds or curtains for extended periods, particularly on very hot days. Heat build-up between the film and a closed blind can slow the curing process and in some cases affect the adhesive bond. This is particularly relevant for double-glazed windows. Once the film has fully cured this is less of a concern, however we recommend maintaining reasonable airflow around your windows on extreme heat days regardless.

Stickers and Adhesives. Do not apply stickers, tape, suction cups, or any adhesive products directly onto the film surface. Adhesives can bond to the film coating and cause damage or leave residue that is extremely difficult or impossible to remove without damaging the film. This damage is not covered under warranty.

Reporting Issues. If you notice anything that concerns you after the curing period has passed — bubbling that has not cleared, peeling edges, discolouration, or any other change in the film's appearance or performance — contact us directly as soon as possible. Do not attempt to fix it yourself. You can submit a warranty claim at any point within your applicable warranty period. Contact us at [email protected] or call us on +61 485 06 TINT (0485 068 468).

Warranty Reminder. Your warranty type and duration depends on your installation type as outlined in the Warranty Policy above. All warranties are held by the original client only and are non-transferable. Keep your installation details and any documentation provided at the time of installation in a safe place as proof of installation may be required when making a claim.

WARRANTY ELIGIBILITY

The warranty applies to the original client who commissioned the installation only and is non-transferable. Proof of installation by Coastal Tints may be required when making a claim (we keep records). Warranty claims can be submitted at any point within the applicable warranty period for your installation type. For marine installations, the warranty period will be confirmed in writing at the time of installation. Claims raised outside the applicable warranty period cannot be assessed or accepted.

HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM

To lodge a warranty claim, contact us directly at [email protected] or call us on +61 485 06 TINT (0485 068 468). Describe the issue and provide your installation details. We will carry out an assessment and, where the claim relates to a product defect, liaise directly with the film supplier on your behalf to have the replacement film approved and covered. Once approved, we will schedule the remedial installation at no charge to you.

Photography & Media Policy

OUR RIGHT TO PHOTOGRAPH INSTALLATIONS

By engaging Coastal Tints for any installation service, you acknowledge and agree that we may photograph or record video of the work carried out at your property. This includes before, during, and after the installation. Images and footage may be used for the following purposes: internal record keeping and job documentation, warranty assessment and claim support, quality control and training, and promotional or marketing use across our website, social media platforms, and other marketing materials.

YOUR PRIVACY IS PROTECTED

We understand that your home or business is your personal space and we treat it with respect. Any images or footage captured will focus on the window film installation itself — the glass, the film, and the finished result. We will not publish, share, or display any content that identifies your property address, includes your name or personal details, shows identifiable personal belongings, or discloses any information that could identify you as an individual.

Any content used for promotional or marketing purposes will show only the quality of the installation work. Your privacy is our priority and no personal or identifying information will ever be shared publicly.

YOUR RIGHT TO OPT OUT

If you do not wish for images or footage of your installation to be used for promotional or marketing purposes, please let us know in writing before your installation date by contacting us at [email protected]. We will still photograph the job for internal record keeping and warranty documentation purposes, as this is a necessary part of our service process. Your request to opt out of promotional use will be respected and recorded.

Internal Records

Photographs and video taken for job documentation and warranty purposes are stored securely and are only accessible to Coastal Tints. These records may be referenced in the event of a warranty claim to verify the condition of the glass and installation at the time of completion. This protects both you and us and ensures any warranty assessment is based on accurate, documented evidence.
